Fitting information:

Patient selection Recommended for patients who seek up to 30 nights continuous wear, want to wake up and see or have unpredictable schedules.

Lens selection Start with the 8.40 BOZR, and then move to the 8.60 BOZR if a flatter fit is required. BVP as close as possible to best spherical correction.

Power selection The advanced aspheric design may reveal ±0.25D change or more difference in overrefraction from previous prescription.

Wearing times and aftercare Follow-up aftercare is important to ensure successful extended wear. If lens fit and initial performance is satisfactory, you are free to recommend a follow-up schedule which suits you and your patient.

The suggested guidelines for a follow-up visit schedule are: one day; one week; one month; three months; six months; up to six months thereafter.

Follow-up procedure While AIR OPTIX® NIGHT & DAY® AQUA lenses are indicated for continuous wear, your patients should be told to follow some basic safety precautions. Patients should check their eyes every day to make sure they are comfortable and free of redness or irritation, and that their vision is clear. The Patient Instruction Booklet contains a list of problem symptoms – please ensure you provide this to your patients; patients are instructed to contact you if problems persist.
