Focus® dailies® TORIC relaunches with several product enhancements

  • Four new axes to provide greater patient coverage1
  • Scribe marks to measure rotation for accurate fittings
  • 90–pack option for greater patient value

Focus® DAILIES® TORIC, the world's first daily disposable TORIC contact lens, is now available in 20°, 70°, 110°, and 160° axes. With the new axes, Focus® DAILIES® TORIC contact lenses now offer the widest parameter range of any daily disposable toric lens resulting in an increase in patient coverage from 55% to 78%2.

“Eighty percent of astigmatic patients have cylinder axes at or near 90° or 180°, +/– 20°³ ,” said Mark Herriott, O.D. “With the Focus® DAILIES® TORIC axes expansion, now even more astigmatic patients can benefit from the high performance and comfort of DAILIES® contact lenses.”

Focus® DAILIES® TORIC contact lenses now feature an inversion mark making them easy for patients to insert. The back surface toric design results in excellent optics4 and the tri–curve design delivers a consistently thin, comfortable edge regardless of power. The contact lenses have a double thin zone design that helps provide the stability and comfort doctors and patients expect from Focus® DAILIES® products.

“Fitting ease in a toric lens is key for eye care practitioners,” said Dr. Herriott. “Focus® DAILIES® TORIC contact lenses address key contact lens performance attributes that are important to ECPs, namely a successful and predictable fit and comfort throughout the day.”

The initial comfort of Focus® DAILIES® TORIC contact lenses is excellent, with 76% of patients rating it a nine or 10 with 10 being the best5. Focus® DAILIES® TORIC is the only toric lens with a blink–activated moisturizing agent to help improve lens comfort throughout the day.

The Focus® DAILIES® TORIC contact lenses are manufactured the CIBA VISION® patented LightStream™ Technology, which provides excellent quality and reproduction for consistently high lens performance. The LightStream™ Technology as well as nelfilcon A, the unique material in Focus® DAILIES® contact lenses, was specially designed to provide important benefits to contact lens wearers including consistent quality and daily disposable convenience.

Focus® DAILIES® TORIC contact lenses are available in powers from +4.00 to –6.00DS in 0.25D steps, and –6.50 to –8.00DS in 0.50D steps. Cylinder powers are –0.75 and –1.50, with axes at 20°, 70°, 90°, 110°, 160° and 180° and they are available in an 8.6mm base curve, 14.2mm diameter. Focus® DAILIES® TORIC contact lenses are now available in new 90–packs, offering a greater value for patients.
